SSRS: Formatting & Properties

Part of Microsoft Reporting Services Basics

sql SSRS: Formatting & PropertiesSSRS: Formatting and Properties

The dataset, datasource and table are present on your report but something is missing…..I know formatting! You cannot have a report that does not have borders, font stylings and shading on can you? of course not! So the next step is to apply formatting.

SSRS Formatting and Properties

Formating can be applied via the toolbars simlair to how you format in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. But toolbars in SSRS only get you so far.¬† Instead I am going to show you that its always better to use the “Properties” window within SSRS. This properties window provides you with so much more than what any toolbar can provide. This window is the life blood of a report and without you will be lost.

This video is one of many SSRS tutorials on this site click here for more.

This video will¬†show you the basics of the “Properties” Window in SSRS but bear in mind this controls EVERYTHING! So it will take a while to master
