Photoshop: Cloning Advanced Techniques

Part 1 of Photoshop CS4 Intermediate

PhotoshopIcon Photoshop: Cloning Advanced TechniquesPhotoshop:Cloning Advanced Techniques

So with the basics of cloning and the healing brush discussed in a previous video. Its time to raise the bar. This video deals with how you can control the many aspects of the clone tool.

What Can you Do With Cloning In Photoshop?

In the example provided here it will tell you about how to use the cloning tool with a reversed image…if it doesn’t make sense I don’t blame you! It was quite odd for me too when I first started but BOY! i would be lost without it now. Basically not only can you copy small aspects of an image but you can mirror the results.  An example would be someones face, if the photograph is not that flattering (which whenever a photograph of me is taken its never flattering!) you can use cloning techniques to apply the good side to the opposie side.

This video will explain some of the important aspects of using the cloning brush within Photoshop (especially the mirroring aspect on some statues) far more effectivly that just the default settings. So sit back and watch this as I am pretty sure as soon as you have seen this video you will be running to photoshop and having a go yourself. Using these tools will make you stand out from the crowd!
