Photoshop: Light To Dark, Summer To Winter

Part of Photoshop CS4 Basics

PhotoshopIcon Photoshop: Light To Dark, Summer To WinterPhotoshop Image Manipulation

I was asked the other day to get a photograph of my friends Tea Room for thier website, so I knew I was on my way to photoshop land again! The problem was I needed to get going and it was still daylight. Why was this a problem? Well, they wanted to show off thier xmas lights they had erected. So, not sure what to do I thought it was best for me to at least see them on, at which point I took a picture and went away. Back in my home office, I sat down and started to fiddle with the image in photoshop. What I ended up doing is turning a image from daytime to nighttime and make a overcast night into a snow covered vista.

So sit back (with some eggnog preferably) and watch this little festive image come to life. This video will discuss how to convert a daytime image into night within photoshop. Also, this will show how to create digital snowfall effects. Thanks for all your great questions and support this year. I wish you all a happy holiday season!
